Michael Holloway

Knowledgeable, Fun and a Smooth Operator

This music buff/writer is a university postgraduate from Adelaide, South Australia.  He has a passion for reading and writing; both fantasy and science fiction.

His Loves
Holloway’s main love is music. He owns an extensive CD and music DVD collection, and has a fondness for live music. His interest in music ranges from the pioneering all-women bands, such as, The Go-Go’s and The Bangles and their many protégé’s.  To the sweet and the spicy, such as, Amy Grant and Bette Midler. Add to that a dash of a new musical sensation, Jon Peter Lewis, for extra flavor, country zest, courtesy of Martina McBride, and Suzy Bogguss & friends, and you have a delectably cool smorgasbord.

His Wit

His wit is evident when you read the fabulous Cher profile and the Bette Midler profile.  Readers have emailed us and said Midler’s profile is the funniest one they have ever read and the profile on Cher is one of the most widely read profiles in our magazine.

His Taste in Music

Holloway’s love of music is apparent and his tastes vary.  Not one to simply listen to the tunes and tap his feet, he delves into why they play what they play and say what they say.  He is also a promotor of those he loves, too.

As Shelli Carlisle said, “Michael is everywhere–you look in the Internet and their he is chatting it up with the musicians and film makers.”

His Sensitivity

Not only does he have a great sense of humor, Holloway’s sensitive side often shows up.  From the beautiful ballads he finds entrancing and recommends to readers to the details he shows-off about his subjects; ranging from their voluntary efforts, to their homelife, to how they feel about the nastiness of the media subjected into their lives and often tearing down careers.

Editor’s Note

Michael has been an integral part of creating the vision for a unique experience in the music department.  It is a one-stop place, you can read about your favorites in the music industry, see their concert schedules, purchase concert tickets, look at their body of work, and purchase their CDs and in some instances vinyl and their books.

And, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
