Hope this finds you with exciting plans for Living Life this summer. I can’t think of any better way to start it than by going to ‘Sex and the City’ tonight, or sometime this week end. I have a date to go to see it with my cousin Jenny in Minneapolis, Minn. My sister and her girlfriend will also be joining us, as we are all visiting grandma at her lake home. We are all passionate about ‘Sex.’ I may make a date with some of my friends when I get back to Calif. to see it again.
Visit the movie section, then click on ‘Sex and the City’ and check out the blog. Share your ‘Sex and the City’ experience. The best entries will receive an entry for the grand opening drawings.

Speaking of which, the first drawing will be June 1, and Vicky Young will be doing the selecting. She donated a green marble mantle clock from her store ‘Timeless Pieces.’ Good luck, and BTW, if you haven’t already, invite your friends to subscribe, as each subscriber gets an entry to the drawings. So far, we have $50,000 worth of prizes and we are getting in more donations every week.

The travel stories of the month are dedicated to our dear friend, Andrea Muff. I had hoped she would be my daughter-in-law one day. She left us suddenly on May 19, way too young, with many unwritten travel stories, and unrecorded music tracks. She was an avid traveler and it was her dream to be a travel writer. She chose me as her mentor.

The last communication I had with Andrea she said, “I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to write travel stories for the online magazine.” It was a good last conversation, and my children and I miss her. The photo is Andrea in the Islands.

Speaking of mentors, another dear person has passed on. A business and life mentor, Bob Schmidt. Dad and I met Bob 12 years ago and he made a huge impact in our lives. He was a man of integrity, he did what he said, said what he meant, lived the way he taught so many countless others to live, was funny, and larger than life. He was the most incredible marketer/promoter we have ever known, and is considered one of the top three in the world. Bob died Living Life to the fullest; out kayaking. The new column in the money section is dedicated to Bob. You brightened up the world, dear one; I know you are brightening up heaven.

What is in the June’s issue:
New expanded music section, with top ten lists you can listen to while you are emailing, working on your computer, or just plain relaxing. Also, several profiles of incredible boomer musicians, concert venues, and discographies by Michael Holloway, a fabulous music buff and great writer. Keep checking back as Michael is adding profiles daily. Another surprise in the music section is ‘In the Genes.’

Shawn Mahaney has a new review on the Ford Focus in ‘About the Ride.’ Plus, there are new movie reviews, new casting calls in the Television section, check out Tony Melendez in the Spiritual department-he is a huge inspiration, and read about Newt and his plan for getting our gas prices down in Drill Here. Drill Now. Pay Less. Please email your responses, ideas, suggestions, and general gripes about the gas prices. The travel destinations are Benicia, Calif., Andrea’s hometown, and New York City. Two new articles by Suzan Almirol in the health section on Colonics, and top ten tips from the Mayo Clinic.

We post new articles every day and will be sending you an update every two weeks of what is new. Here are a few teasers of what is coming:
Photo tips from master photographer and printer, Nicholas Pavloff, plus photos and a travel story on Japan by Nick, what a treat. More articles by James Tennery in Of Food and Wine, and a review on my favorite restaurant, The Dragon Fly in Truckee. A photo-slide show by Mack Barney of Dutch Flat, Calif. More humorous stories by Robin Hoselton…

Our special gift to you-Kavita has just finished building The Shoe Store and has installed Google Check Out buttons, which is a great way to shop online. Your cards are protected and you can keep shopping at many different retailers and check out only one time. Well, here is our special gift to you-but you need to use the Google Check Out for this as PayPal doesn’t have a system to allow us to do this: $20.00 off every pair of shoes you purchase.

Kavita was actually worried; she thought there was a miscommunication as one pair of shoes with this discount will sell for $4.90. We are really celebrating the premiere issue of Living Life…Boomer Style. Use this code at check-out :

and have fun shopping for ‘Sex and the City’ worthy shoes.

All the best,
