Why? These popular styles are my favorites.  They are nice and also comfortable, says Joeanna Orozco.

Who? Orozco is a self described nice person and loves to laugh and sing—the singing is usually alone.

 

Fallen Chief MID

Why?  Mark Papish loves a shoe designed by Fallen Rider Jamie Thomas available at Zumiez or Fallen.  It comes in orange-red or black with a cracked decal. Papish says it works with most of today’s styles because it is a mid-top.

Who?  Papish a fun loving person who likes walks and horseback riding on the beach. His goal, is to go to college and play football for a good team.


Air Jordan Laser’s   

Why?  Daniel Barnett says the shoe is mostly white and has a collection of other shoes going around the shoe. At the bottom of the shoe it has an orange base with a green flame.The reason he likes the shoe is because of the pattern that is going around the shoe. He said the shoe is an investment—when it first came out it was $110—now it is more expensive, but worth it.

Who?  Barnett is a kid who loves cool sneakers and skateboard.

Downside: The shoe is rare and is not found in stores. Some websites are ebay.com or pickyourshoe.com. Don’t trust just any website because some are replicas. The shoe is not cheap this shoe goes for around $325.

 

6.  Clothes

Tripp Purple Skinny Denim Pants 

Why?  Hailey Klotzer says she likes these because her favorite color is purple and in a crowd, any parent should be able to spot their teen. You can find them at Hot Topic for around $39.00.

Who? Klotzer says she is very reserved and would like to become a lawyer or fashion designer. 

Clothes, Clothes, Clothes  

Why? Seth Cepeda said over the years the choice of presents change, from toys to sport accessories to electronics. This year is the same like any other year but just going for more expensive things.  He explains right now the reason I chose clothes is because I don’t really want anything in particular. Everybody likes clothes.

Who else? Emily Yanez says she likes stylish clothes and shoes for school that keep me warm. She loves to go shopping at the mall, take walks with her two little cousins, and play basketball and soccer. She would love to become a pro basketball player.

 


LRG Clothing

Why? David Shelton likes LRG clothing because it’s simple and doesn’t cost as much as other brands and LRG is very popular to teens these days.

Who? Shelton’s goal is to go to college and become a pro football or basketball player and if that doesn’t work be a police officer or engineer.

 

Hoodies 

Why? For everyone, everywhere a hoodie is a must have item said Richard Zodikoff who wants a jacket. It can be any kind of a jacket with nice designs on it, a hood and zip up.Everybody wears hoodies, they are easy to find, easy on the checkbook.

Who? Zodikoff describes himself as athletic, outgoing and not much of a talker unless he feels good or if he’s hyper. He wants to attend college and get a good job in sports athletics.

 

Spray Painted Outfit 

Why? Tremaine Trent says you can have whatever designs you want; whatever colors you want, and whatever pictures or words you want on your item. I love this item for one reason and one reason only, you can take anything out of the ordinary and change it into a work of art and show it off to everybody where ever you go, except at a wedding or a funeral because you don’t want to be walking up to a wedding with congratulations across you plain with T-shirt.

Downside: There is one of two ways to get to this item, go to the local Air Magic store or to Airmagic.com.The only thing is that the cost is nothing to laugh at.

Who? Trent says her personality is fun, hyper and respectful. She likes to play sports for community teams, baseball and football. She would like to go to college and become a fictional writer. She adds, “Trust me, if you get this thing, you will not have to get anything else.”

 

7.Sporting Goods   

Go Cart  

Why? Gurkirat Virk says it feels like you’re driving a car.  It appeals to teenagers because they can practice driving.  The whole family can use it, even the younger kids.  You can drive about 100 miles on a full tank of gas.  

Downside: Cost is about $700-$2000. 

Who? Virk likes to have fun driving his go-cart in the morning and afternoons. He likes getting new gadgets for his go-cart. 

 

Bow and Arrows

Why? Lucas Ang says one present that I truly think is worth spending your money on is a bow with arrows. Archery is fun. I like the feeling I get when the arrow hits a precise target.  I think teenagers would like it because it is a sport you can participate in by yourself. Adults might like it because it can increase their sense of concentration and is a good de-stresser.  Archery is a great way to be alone and have fun at the same time.

Downside: The bad thing about archery is that it  can cause serious injury.

Who? Ang says his favorite sport is soccer.  Most of the time he likes being alone. When  he grows up he would like to be a doctor and also play for a soccer team.

 

Better Basketball Instructional DVD’s

Why? Jacques Carraway says that this set of DVD’s help basketball players to develope their skills such as, handles, lay ups, shooting, passing, defense, offense and moving without the ball. The DVD’s are popular with teens and adults.  You can order them on the internet or through TV adds.  Each DVD is $20.00 or you can purchase the whole set for about $200.00.

Who? Carraway describes himself as lazy, funny and energetic.  In his free times he likes to hang out with his friends and play basketball.  He would like to play for the NBA or become a dentist.

Basketball Hoop

Why? Jala Carter says she misses her basketball hoop. You can only imagine the pain I felt when it fell to the ground one windy evening in Cordelia.  There’s only one way to repair the damage my heart has, and that’s to get a new hoop.  The hoop I want is only about $150 and can be found at Costco.  It must be able to extend to 11 feet and it must look good. Instead of going to the park, I can play right in the backyard. Shooting baskets is a great way to workout, get fresh air and keep in shape.

 

Who?Carter says the hoop matches her personality perfectly; she’s athletic and would rather be outside playing basketball than watching TV.  She also likes to dance and play other sports.  Her goal is to be a lawyer.  And adds, the more practice I get playing basketball, the higher my chances are of getting a scholarship.”

 

 

Easton, Titan Baseball Bat

Why? Dylan Rohrer explains Easton Titon is a great bat.

Who?  Rohrer plays baseball and drums in his spare time.  He would like to be a policeman in Fairfield or Vallejo or possibly work for SWAT or the FBI.

                                     

Baseball Mitt 

Why? Logan Lenza says Heart of the Hidebrand is one of the best quality, comfort and style are what make this baseball mitt a favorite of serious baseball players.  I like the burgandy mitt with burgandy laces and tan trimming. It is a little pricey at $250.00 but the quality of this mitt guarentees years of enjoyment.  Or, at Amazon.com for $130.

Who?  Lenza describes himself as motivated, determined and active.  He enjoys playing baseball and hanging out with his friends. His goals are to get a scholarship to a major baseball college from there he hopes to get drafted into the NBA.

 

Nike Soccer Ball

Why? Savanna says If you play soccer it is important to have a good ball.  I have chosen the black, white and blue Nike ’90’ ball. The proper size for teens is a size 5.  The cost is around $20.00 and can be found at most sports stores. This ball has a soft-touch coating which makes it go farther when you kick it. Soccer can be played by everyone which is perfect for doing something fun while hanging out with your family.

Who?  Savanna is an average energetic teen who doesn’t like sitting around watching TV all day.  One of her goals is to get a full soccer scholarship for US Berkeley. 

 

 Hacky-Sack

Why? Jason Davis tell us that a  hacky-sack is for kicking around with your feet.  They are filled with either sand or beads.  The outside of the sack is made of soft leather, silk or a yarn like material.  They can be purchased at Big 5 or many other sports stores.  The cost for a decent one is about $25.00.  What’s nice is that they are pocket-sized so you can take them anywhere.  Teens love to play with them to show off their skills.  I don’t think they appeal to adults unless they like to play with their kids.  They are good for your reflexes and are fun to play with.

Downside: The cheaper ones break faster, so it’s better to invest a little more in one that is of better quality.

Who? Davis is smart, friendly and a little athletic.  He enjoys football, basketball, videogames and hacky-sack in his spare time.  He would like to go to UC Davis andbecome an archaelolgist.

 

Mountain Bike

Why? Rami Daibis says a mountain bike gives you a smooth ride. Their frame, suspension, and disk brakes are what gives this bike its unique quality.  For trail or urban riding, Fox air shocks are the best. Mountain bikes have strong frames which makes this bike much safer than other bikes.  You can buy this bike at Ray’s Bicycle or on eBay.

Downside: A really good mountain bike is pricey.  They can cost around $2500.00.

Who? Daibis is good looking, energetic, athletic and outgoing. He enjoys swimming, video games and mountain biking. His goal is to graduate from a good university, have a good career and then a family.

 

Vespa Italian Scooter

Why: Majanique Anderson says a shiny yellow, Sunl model 50cc mopedscooter is what I would likeTheir top speed is 40 mph. Teens like them because they are fun to get around on.  For adults who don’t like to drive, scooters save money spent on gas.  You can find this scooter at evo.sales.com. 

Downside: The cost is $899.00 and in today’s ecomony, that’s a big expense.

Who? Anderson is carefree, likes fast and fun things. She likes to play sports, hang out with her friends and have fun with her family. Her plans

are to go to college and become a successful business woman.

 

8. Musical Intruments

Drums

Why? Ruben Murillo saysdrums are fun to play.  I would like a whole set of drums. Drums are great for use in rock bands.  There are DVD’s that teach you how to play the drums.  Teenagers and adults can have a good time playing the drums.

Downside: They are very loud.

Who? Murillo says he is a lot of fun, funny and athletic.  He likes to play the drums, hang out with his friends and play sports.  One of his goals is to learn how to play the drums better.

 

Electric Guitars

Why? You can be very creative with a guitar.  You can write your own music or learn any music that you like. Guitars are easy to find and come in a variety of prices.  There are styles to suit everyones needs.

Who? Michael Vela says the Shadow Caster is the best brand.  Vela describes

himself as nice, awesome, smart and crazy.  He loves to listen to Metallica,

wants to learn to play the guitar and start a band.

Who else? Patrick Bisio prefers the Gibson Les Paul guitar.  He loves its

shape and color. Bisio has been playing the guitar for 2 years.  He owns a Fender Stratocaster and a Fender Amp.  His goal is to be a professional guitar player and

have a band.

Who else? Michael Sorrels says the E.S.P. Kirk Hammett signature guitar is nice affordable. Sorrel describes himself as smart and quick.  He loves to skateboard and play the guitar.  His short term goal is to collect a lot of guitars.  He says he has a lot of other life goals too.

Who else? Lea Lorusso’s pick is a Fender guitar that is red and white.  She describes herself as a person who likes to have fun and be crazy.  She likes to listen to rock music and play football.  Her goals is to play lead guitar for a famous rock band.

 

9.  Music CD’s

What? Shaley Williams loves Rihanna’s new CD titled Hotness. Williams likes the songs on this CD, loves Rihanna’s voice and thinks she is a really good singer.  Parents will like this CD because there is no bad language.

Downside: I don’t like her pose and her outfit

Who? Williams describes herself as fun, smart, wild, loud, silly, outgoing, friendly and creative.

She likes to write in her diary and compose songs and poems.  She also likes to read, talk, eat, watch TV and play with her two dogs, Ruby ad Sophie.  Her goals are to go to college, become a clothes designer and hairstylist, get married and be a good mother.

 

10.  Movies and Books

What? Reagene Washington tells us that Inuyasha is a cartoon that takes place in the past and the present.  A group of friends work together to find the sacred jewel shards.  Teens and adults like the stories.  

Who? Washington is a nice person who like rap music. She likes to read books, hang out with friends. and would like to go to college and do something important  to change the world.

What else? Eboni Stallworth’s favorite series of books are the Kingdom Keepers. The latest book in the series written by Ridley Pearson is called Disney After Dawn.Stallworth says these books are amazingly awesome.  

Who? Stallworth is thirteen years old and a self described reading fanatic.
