Romance, Bliss, Pain
Dawn Bonner

The talented and lovely Jaeda DeWalt is sharing eight poems.  Romance and poetry go hand in hand.  What a great opportunity to make an intimate moment.

Grab your precious one, light some candles, pour your favorite beverage into crystal flutes, and enjoy.

Poems

Haunted

The eyes do not lie
Weakening the surface of the social masks we wear
A bruised and battered soul can betray the prettiest smile
As the pain seeps through to the surface
Speaking volumes to our emotions and life experience

The Red Facade

I am . . .
The Pretty Pain Container
The Beautifully Bruised Soul
A picture perfect . . .
Version of me

I can’t let the red seep through
My porcelain exterior
I can’t let them see

Emotions tainted
In the red hues of pain

I can’t let these uncried tears flow
I must maintain The Red Facade
On the days when i feel like . . .I can’t find God

 The Red Stare

The Red Stare
Is ME
Penetrating YOU

A silent dare
To look deep
To question what you see

Do my eyes deceive?
Do they reveal the truth?
Do they reflect some part of you?

 Bliss

Ecstasy . . .
The highest form of escapism
Nothing tastes sweeter to the flesh
We arriving at some
Undefinable destination
A heightened realm of sensations
Where the ethereal, surreal and sensual
Become stepping stones to something
That far exceeds
Short-lived pleasures of the flesh
Our sense of existence slipping away
Surrendering awareness of this world
Allowing the union of spirits
To transport us into a state of
Pure bliss

Be Love

It is the simple act of opening
Blossoming
Receptivity

EMBRACING
The peaceful calm
The Inner Sanctum

Gentle, sweet
Pure . . .Connective . . . Bliss

Be Love

 Loves Alchemy

Shared spaces
Sacred places
Intimate graces

I in him – He in me
Our heart’s beating together
As Love’s Alchemy

My Red Melancholy

Under the bright lights
And pristine haze
I look away

As sick secrets sinuously sleep
Underneath a surface that is
Poised and pretty and sweet

My raven hair scented
With traumatic experiences
Buried alive . . . refusing to die

 My crimson lips
Whisper
Of a quiet desperation

My eyes refusing to shed
The tears of . . .
My Red Melancholy

Sacred Love

A sea of deep
Spirit gazing
Souls entwining
TRUST
Shared essence
Heartsong
Love times three
You . . .Spirit . . .and Me

The skies and stars embrace our hearts
The beautiful dream
Free
