I supposed it would have been great to invent something as classic and enduring as the tuxedo. But if I was collecting royalties, I wish I’d invented the corkscrew.

Cruise Collection Fall 2009:
Giorgio Armani started his company in 1974 and became a household name in the 80s from the red carpet dresses he created.  So, it is no wonder the 2009 fall cruise collection looks a bit familiar–he always goes back to his roots and builds on the basics with a new twist here and a turn there.
Armani Traits:
Besides his tasteful and elegant classics, here  are notables to love about Armani: He banned all models under a body mass index of 18 from walking or photographing in his clothing.  He is a Good will Ambassador for Refugees.  He made the sports jacket comfortable for men and  he dressed Richard Gere in ‘Pretty Woman.’ The suits on Christian Bale in ‘Dark Knights’ were also his creation.  Plus, he has a great sense of humor.  He sounds like a Boomer Hot, too, doesn’t he?
Inspirations:
My sources of inspiration are the same; travel, film, books, music and art; essentially the culture that surrounds me. However, as I have grown older, I’ve realised the extent to which I find people fascinating and inspiring,” he told Stella McCartney.
Armani said, “I suppose that because my aesthetic tends towards the understated, and because I do not follow faddish trends, my clothes and accessories can be worn for several seasons.”
And, this is again evident in the 2009 Cruise Collection. If you are looking to go long, short or with slacks–there are several pieces you will fall in love with from Aramani’s Collection.
Review of 2009 Cruise Collection:
Tim Banks of Style.com said in his review about the cruise wear line of 2009, “The emphasis was on a long, fluid silhouette in soft, natural fabrics like linen and shantung. Pants were full enough to evoke the languorous loungewear of a thirties vedette. Calm and restrained as the collection was, there were still a few of the eccentric touches that Armani injects to keep things interesting for himself: a hit of color here, an abstract floral print there.”
Armani for Women:
Classic, beautiful and timeless.  These pieces will take you from day to evening seamlessly.  Go to a business meeting; then, change shoes to meet your person at your favorite restaurant. We’ve found the perfect items for your wardrobe and paired them with the perfect shoes.  Bonus: all of the shoes are on sale and in stock now.  Fast shipping, great customer service from a PayPal certified vendor since 2004.  Purchase your shoes at The Shoe Store, order today and soon they’ll be at your doorstep.

Armani for Men:

From Polo shirts, to jeans, to suits, to underwear, belts and sunglasses.  Armani can dress the man well for any resort vacation or day at the golf course.

“The jacket is my signature, the first thing I wanted to do. I invented a type of sports jacket that’s relaxed, informal, less stiff. The suits I designed for Richard Gere to wear in American Gigolo marked the beginning of a new way of dressing in America and Italy. The body moved easier in a suit made of soft fabrics,” said Armani.
